The Server takes orders and serves food and beverage items to our customers in a timely, friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and beverage, a pro-active and "can do" attitude, providing exceptional service to our guests. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: table set-ups and station preparation prior to service and at the end of the shift, maintaining the condition of the dining room and controlling guest checks and payments. The Server will also communicate and work closely with kitchen staff to ensure customer satisfaction. If you enjoy working in a fast paced, team oriented environment, this is the ideal job for you. This position can be a great entrance into other food and beverage roles.
· Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace. · Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process. · Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. · Must possess basic computational ability. · Must possess basic computer skills. · Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware. · Must be able to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. · Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. frequently. · Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the hotel on a timely basis. · Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space. · Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks. Experience Two years experience as food server in full service restaurant is required. Customer service experience preferred. EOE-M/F/V/
