Job Description

Support Director of Revenue Management and maintain accuracy of, and enhance automation efforts in Revenue Management systems in order to increase daily productivity for Revenue Management. Perform all Revenue Management month end reporting and auditing and provide forward looking information for the purposes of forecasting, targeting need areas and balancing financial expectations. Accurately generate and process all Revenue Management reports that are communicated to Starwood’s corporate offices. Serve as primary source for majority of reporting and analytical needs of the Revenue Management department. Assist the Director of Revenue Management to determine optimal mix of business and manage the distribution strategies across all channels to drive market share. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Average % Of Time 45% Work with DORM to drive market Share & Revenue Performance through strategic pricing & mix management. Complete understanding and effective execution of all Starwood Revenue Management tools . Assist DORM with day to day operations, to include but not limited to sell strategies for front office & sales team. Represent the hotel in the absence of the Director of Revenue Management. 10% Effectively manage inventory & pricing strategies across our OTA Channels conducting audits as needed. 15% Complete various revenue management analytical tasks as requested including revenue management reports required for the Strategic Sales tool development process. Assist DORM in report preparation (daily/weekly/monthly as required). Generate all necessary reports for Revenue Management meetings, including but not limited to, Weekly Strategy Meeting, Regional review, Group pick up meetings, Forecast meetings and group pick up meetings. Manage Reservation system interfaces. 5% Work closely with BTSM ensuring that Corporate & FIT Rates are set up correctly in Valhalla as required - providing Audit assistance to DORM as needed. 15% Provide support to Reservations associates with all aspects of Reservation related duties (handling telephone calls, processing reservation requests coming via email, fax & internally) & administration support as needed. 10% Provide direction & guidance to Group Coordinator on all aspects of Group Reservation function including monitoring group blocks, maintaining inventory of room types & auditing contracted rates.

Requirements

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential function of the job with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills and abilities. • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English • Requires effective communication skills, both verbal and written • Must possess excellent computational and analytical abilities. • Effective Understanding of Hotel Operations, Reservations/Revenue Management experience preferred. • Ability to use/manipulate all Starwood Revenue Management Systems, including but not limited to Galaxy, Lightpseed, IPS/Valhalla, ROS, PDA Tools, Strategic Sales Tool, ISAC for tracking, forecasting and executing optimal selling strategies. • Ability to analyze financial statement and market data • Manage time well, correctly prioritizing tasks • Effective understanding of Starguest & Microsoft Office. QUALIFICATION STANDARDS: Experience- Minimum of 2 years Revenue Management experience in management role Grooming – Employee must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance and will be required to conform to dress code as per Westin Bayshore standards.

Department

Revenue Management/Reservations assists guests with making reservations for the hotel including group and convention reservations. Coordinates with Sales & Marketing, Catering & Event Management and Front Desk on a daily basis.
